Faith grew up in Statesville, NC where she played volleyball for 7 years at Statesville Christian where she accumulated 2 state championships. Faith also was a part of Crossroads Volleyball Club where she played her last 2 years of high school. After high school, Faith earned her Bachelors Degree in Sport Management at Liberty University. She decided to come home and coach at her former high school. Faith was the assistant middle school varsity coach last year and is now the administrative assistant to the athletic director. Faith wanted to get more into coaching, and that’s what led her to PAVC!

Rec Coach/Director

Coach Paul Bergey started playing volleyball in the '90s on a boys club team in Norman, OK... back in the side-out volleyball generation. Coach Paul's coaching career began with South Iredell Athletic Association in 2014-2016. He then served as the Co-Director of Volleyball at Shepherd Elem School from 2016-2020. Following his success with rec league programs as well as the challenges of 2020, Coach Paul was finally led to the PAVC family! With extensive training from technical guru David Kounlamith and "Sensei" David Woodruff, Coach Paul is one of the fresh new talents coming from the Precision Athletic Club coaching tree.

Growing up in Ohio, Payton started playing volleyball in 3rd grade and started playing travel, beach, and indoor in middle school. She moved from Ohio to North Carolina her junior year of high school and found PAVC. She loved it and has been with us ever since! Payton went to High Point where she earned a degree in business administration, and she started coaching at PAV her junior year.

PAVC Director of Recruiting

Megan started playing volleyball in high school in her home state of Pennsylvania. She played collegiate volleyball as a middle blocker at Greensboro College here in NC. While attending school, she starting coaching at Piedmont VBC in 2014. Megan relocated to Charlotte post-grad and found her new home at PAV in 2016 during their inaugural season. She served as the head coach for the Charlotte Latin 8th Grade Volleyball Team in 2016, then joined the Lake Norman HS coaching staff from 2017-2019, and finally led the Lady Lions of West Charlotte from 2020-2023. In addition to coaching, Megan is also the Recruiting Director and Marketing Coordinator for PAVC. Coach Megan believes in shaping players into better teammates and leaders while growing their mental toughness. She loves helping players find their "why," deepening their passion for the game, and instilling in them the importance of "we before me."

Lacie has played volleyball for 12 years. Growing up in Statesville, NC, she attended Crossroads Arts and Science Early College, where she attained her Associate's Degree in Science from Mitchell Community College. She played volleyball for Statesville High School, where she was All County her senior year. Lacie also played at Precision during her last three years of high school. Lacie is currently attending Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. While pursuing her bachelor's degrees in Health Sciences and Exercise and Sports Science, she is also a setter on the Guilford College Volleyball Team. As a freshman in college, Lacie started her coaching career at Carolina Spike Force VBC. This is Lacie’s second year coaching, first at PAV. She is so very excited to be coaching with some of her favorite people!

Patric has been around volleyball since his oldest started play club volleyball in the 5th grade. She is now a sophomore in college and still playing. He has studied the game and learned more about it as both her and her sister played. Patric started coaching last season at PAVC and has really enjoyed being apart of the coaching family. It’s a passion to see players grow in confidence, skill , and the passion to compete. He has been coaching for almost 20 years total, coaching sports softball, basketball, soccer and volleyball. Patric is currently also coaching a High School Girls Soccer team!

PAVC Admin Assistant

Shanna's love for volleyball goes back to her childhood when her parents were in an adult league. She grew up going to “the barn” playing volleyball so she has a lot of really great childhood memories that have instilled the love of the game. Shanna started playing with her parents when she got older. The barn (where PAVC originated) was a fun Friday and Saturday night hangout spot for a lot of young people and adults. She played through school until her 10th grade year when an injury ended her career. Shanna's daughters showed an interest in volleyball at a young age, and she started coaching their teams in school ball about 7-8 years ago. This is Coach Shanna's second year coaching with PAV!

Jamie has a lifelong passion for volleyball, beginning as a player in middle and high school and continuing at the collegiate level in her home state of South Dakota. After relocating to Mooresville, Jamie spent several years coaching with the Lakeshore Youth Athletic Association, sharing her love for the game and helping young athletes grow. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and is dedicated to teaching and inspiring others through sport. Jamie is excited to continue her coaching journey with PAVC!

Coach Kirky grew up in Mooresville and started playing volleyball at 11 years old. She started playing for PAVC when she was 12 and is now coaching volleyball for her second year. Anna is currently attending CCC&TI studying Criminal Justice. She is looking forward to another fun season at PAVC!

Co-Owner of PAVC

David Kounlamith co-founded Precision Athletics Volleyball Club with his wife, Cara, to create a program dedicated to developing both the skills and overall success of each athlete. With a coaching career that began in 2000 and includes leadership roles at Lake Norman, Carolina Storm, and Texas One Volleyball, David brings decades of experience to the sport. He also owns Precision Athletics & Wellness, offering health and performance services to athletes and beyond. David brings his expertise through directing and planning all training at PAVC alongside coaching multiple teams!

Rec Coach

Coach Chris began coaching volleyball when his daughter, Izzy started playing rec ball. After coaching rec ball for a few years, Coach Chris landed a head coach spot with a high school varsity girls team. Since then, Coach Chris has been with PAV and helped with the Rec League and Club Teams. Coach Chris loves helping people learn and building winning teams which he does on a daily basis with his career outside of volleyball!

Co-Owner of PAVC

Cara began her coaching career in the early 2000's! A former player at Appalachian State University, she helped lead the National Club Volleyball Team to a national championship her senior year. With over 15 years of playing experience, Cara began coaching at Carolina Storm and later served as Assistant Director at Texas One Volleyball Club. Now co-leading Precision Athletics Volleyball Club, her focus is on delivering top-tier customer service and fostering a passion for volleyball in every athlete.

Breanna grew up in Concord, NC where she played volleyball throughout middle and high school. She also played club volleyball at Carolina Union Volleyball Club for her Senior year of high school. Breanna went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree at Anderson University where she participated in Intramural sports. Upon graduation, Breanna found herself as the JV coach at Northwest Cabarrus High School beginning in 2023 - she since has taken on the Head Coaching position at NW Cabarrus. This is Breanna’s third year coaching and her second year at PAVC!

Growing up in Mooresville, NC, Riley has played volleyball for 9 years, 6 of which she played at PAV. During her senior year of high school, Riley chose to start her coaching career instead of playing. Riley is currently a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she is pursing a degree in Finance.

Morgan grew up in Washington State, where she developed a lifelong passion for volleyball. She played collegiate volleyball at Central Washington University and served as a three-year team captain, an experience that shaped her leadership both on and off the court.

She has coached several youth sports teams and is currently the President of Lakeshore Youth Athletic Association (LYAA), where she is committed to creating positive, development-focused experiences for young athletes. Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and an MBA.

When she's not on the court or supporting youth sports in the community, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children in Mooresville, North Carolina. She is passionate about helping young athletes grow in confidence, character, and their love for the game.

Coach Hayley has played volleyball for 13 years. She is from Southern California, and moved to Charlotte NC and grew up here since she was 10. During her collegiate volleyball career, Hayley played at NCAA DII level for Tusculum University; she then finished her program studies and volleyball career at Carolina University in Winston Salem where her team won the 2024 regional conference championship for NCCAA. Hayley wanted to get involved in coaching to not only give back to the sport she loves, but to see other players fall in love with the sport. Why she chose PAVC? Hayley chose PAVC because of how welcoming the family atmosphere is as well as how much they care for each individual player and the their future development in the sport of volleyball.

Coach Deb is entering her 9th year as Head Coach at PAVC and brings more than 17 years of volleyball coaching experience across recreation leagues, clubs, and competitive youth programs. Her love for the game began in high school and continued through college and adult leagues, where she developed a deep understanding of volleyball strategy, systems, and player development. Coach Deb is a trusted leader in the local volleyball community having served as President of Lakeshore Youth Athletic Association (LYAA) for over 13 years, where she also served as Volleyball Director for 8 years, and as a seasoned corporate Project Manager and former board member of a local recreation department’s advisory board. These roles have strengthened her ability to communicate, organize, motivate, and lead—skills she brings directly into her coaching. Focusing on a strategic approach to the game, Coach Deb teaches athletes how to play—not just what to do. She emphasizes volleyball IQ, game awareness, and competitive mindset, helping players understand rotations, defensive systems, offensive decision-making, and how to adapt under pressure. Her coaching style blends high expectations with strong fundamentals, confidence-building, and a focus on developing athletes who are both skilled and mentally tough. Coach Deb is passionate about developing athletes who compete with purpose, play with confidence, and grow through teamwork, discipline, and love of the game.

Victoria began playing volleyball in 7th grade and quickly developed a passion for the sport. In high school, she earned All-Conference and All-County honors and played club volleyball. As a libero, she continued to play club volleyball throughout her college career. Victoria began coaching at PAVC from 2017-2019 before taking time away to focus on being a mom. During that time, she continued to stay connected to the game through coaching rec leagues, clinics, and playing in open gyms. For Victoria, coaching is about much more than developing volleyball skills. She is passionate about helping athletes build confidence, resilience, leadership, and a strong sense of self that extends beyond the court. Having experienced volleyball as a player, a coach, and now a volleyball mom, Victoria understands the impact the sport can have on a young athlete's life. Through meaningful connections, mentorship, and team-building experiences, she strives to help players discover their strengths, navigate challenges, and develop skills that will serve them long after their volleyball careers end. Victoria is so excited to be back with her PAVC family.

Rec Coach/Clinic Lead

Coach “Sensei” David grew up in Southern California and fell in love with volleyball in 7th Grade and has played ever since. He was asked to help the Girls HS Team while a Junior and quickly gained a passion for the coaching side of the game. His “other hobby” became playing outdoors, mostly at a local beach! He played a year at a local Community College, then was hired as the Girls Varsity coach at his High School three years later. While in CA, he helped start a Club program and coached both Girls and Boys HS Teams for over 12 years. He also contracted as a shooter and editor for a Recruiting Services company for 15 years. Upon moving to Lake Norman in 2003, he served as Lead Advisor for the LKN VB Club for two years, where he met David Kounlamith. The two kept in touch over the years, and it was a dream come true to partner with PAVC! Sensei’s goal is to encourage every player he comes in contact with.
